 Capital:  Pending State

Currency: Dollar

Language: English (Spanish is most common non-English language spoken)

Climate: The USA climate is incredibly diverse, ranging from polar in Alaska to tropical in Hawaii and Florida, with major zones including continental (cold winters, hot summers in the East/Midwest), arid/semi-arid (deserts in the Southwest), Mediterranean (California), and oceanic (Pacific Northwest), influenced heavily by continental landmasses, the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico moisture, and mountain ranges like the Rockies.

Electricity: Powersockets and plugs of type c or e -220V at a frequency of 50Hz

Safety:  The USA is generally safe for tourists, but safety varies by location; exercise normal precautions like being aware of surroundings, avoiding displaying wealth, securing valuables (especially in cars), and staying away from protests or unfamiliar areas at night, particularly in larger cities, to prevent petty crime, scams, and potential violent incidents, while also monitoring for terrorism alerts and registering with your embassy.

Transportation: Transportation in USA varies significantly by location, with robust systems (buses, subways, light rail, trains,...) in dense cities like NYC, DC, Chicago, SF, but sparse options in sprawling suburbs or rural areas, relying heavily on personal cars, though some cities offer free transit and intercity bus/rail connect major hubs.

Must see & do attractions

Chicago

Chicago or the windy city is one of the world's great cities that never sleeps. From the magic of Millennium Park to having fun at navy pier, from visiting the many museums like the Field Museum or the Art Institute of Chicago where you can admire paintings by world-renowned artists, Chicago will keep you entertained.
Get the taste of Chicago's famous deep dish pizza or enjoy pancakes for breakfast at one of Chicago's famous pancake houses, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Sports fan? Experience the thrill of watching a baseball game.

Another great experience is the Architecture Boat tour, a river cruise along Chicago's most famous buildings.

Most spectacular walk

There are so many spectacular walks in the National Parks, so it is difficult to pick just one

Must try dish

Chicago-Style pizza:

Chicago's pizzas are huge. The deep dish pizza is a tall buttery crust filled with loads of meat, cheese, tomato chunks and authentic Italian spices.

Toughest Sport event

RAAM (Race Across America):

This Ultra Distance cycling race sees racers competing from the West Coast to the East Coast of the United States, approximately 3000 miles (4800km). This transcontinental event has no stages, meaning racers compete nonstop from start to finish. The fastest competitors manage to do this in a little over 7 days.
