Whenever we plan a new adventure, we tend to ramp up our training regime to get that little bit fitter again.

Balancing a 9-to-5 routine with fitness isn’t always easy—but when time allows, we make the most of it with quality training sessions. Though consistency isn’t always on our side, we’re firm believers in heart rate-based training, which helps us train smarter, not just harder.

That’s why we’ve always trusted Polar, the Finnish brand that’s helped us fine-tune the delicate dance between effort and recovery. Our go-to device? The Polar grit X, which we’ve been using since its release in 2024. Its rugged design has proven itself time and again—it’s braved mud, sand, freezing cold, sweltering heat, and even full submersion—without ever missing a beat.

Before any new adventure, we kick our training up a notch, chasing that extra edge of fitness. It’s all part of the ritual: planning the route, setting goals, and pushing a little further each time—armed with tech that keeps us honest and inspired.
